Global trade show management company GES will again champion the Women in Exhibitions (WiE) initiative by sponsoring elements of its global summit in November. The event’s theme for 2024 is: ‘Building bridges, breaking ceilings’, and will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops.
GES will sponsor two of the networking sessions and contribute to the conference content.
GES also reports having established a Women’s Mentoring Group for EMEA Exhibitions which creates space for women to share their experiences, knowledge and insights, fostering career growth.
“Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, it is a privilege to once again show our support for such a ground-breaking project. At GES we continue to drive our ESG ambitions and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging play a large part in our success,” said Katrina Rowbury, HR director, GES Exhibitions EMEA. “We take our responsibilities in the industry very seriously, and look forward to both sharing experiences and learning from our peers.”
Sonia Thomas, executive director, WiE spokesperson added: “By partnering with WiE, GES is once again demonstrating its clear commitment to gender diversity and equality in the industry. We look forward to working with them to provide a welcoming and open environment in which to explore these vital topics.”
This year, the event takes place 18-19 November at Chiostri di San Barnaba, Milan, Italy.
