Frankfurt smooths safe new path to the Messe

The Frankfurt Convention Bureau (FCB) a division of the Frankfurt Tourist+Congress Board (TCF), is publicising the work done in the city to make safe the delegate journey of all visiting event participants.

Co-operating with the Frankfurt Hotel Alliance (FHA), Messe Frankfurt and other industry partners, the FCB is setting itself up as a hub for pertinent information on health and safety measures applied within the city – from arrival at the airport and getting around town, to accommodation and the process of visiting trade fairs.

The FCB is publicising the comprehensive hygiene concepts now in effect at all major touch-points throughout Frankfurt to ensure the health and safety of guests during their stay. This is backed up with a short video as well as full information available on the FCB website.

Frankfurt Airport, which has already been twice awarded the TÜV 'Safe from Covid-19' quality seal, has adapted all of its operating processes and tickets for travel on the Rhine-Main region’s public transport systems may be purchased contact-free.

Trains, trams, subways and buses are being cleaned and sanitised more regularly, while emergency call buttons and ticket vending machines are continuously disinfected. Taxi drivers and passengers, meanwhile, are required to wear medical face masks.

Frankfurt’s hotel industry is also following intensive cleaning procedures of all private and public areas and, at Messe Frankfurt, state-of-the-art ventilation systems provide up to 100% fresh-air supply in all exhibition halls, while contactless entrance controls and electronic admission tickets reduce direct contact.

“With incidence rates having fallen dramatically in the most recent times, it is finally becoming possible to start planning international business events again,“ says Jutta Heinrich, director of the FCB. "We are delighted to finally be able to welcome event participants back to Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. With countless health and safety measures having been put into place, holding meetings and conferences here in Frankfurt Rhine-Main is once again possible without worry,” Heinrich added.
