Europalco, a provider of event solutions in Southern Europe, made a significant impact at the 36th Deloitte IRGAwards 2024 with a standout performance by its Kuka robot.

The event, held on 27 August at the Carlos Lopes Pavilion in Lisbon and organised by Desafio Global, brought together 270 guests for an evening focused on the intersection of technology and artificial intelligence.

In line with this theme, Europalco's Kuka robot took centre stage with its unique piano and dance performances. The evening began with a Kuka robot playing the piano alongside a human pianist. Later, a dance performance between a Kuka robot and a professional dancer aimed to highlight the harmony between humans and machines.

Europalco played a key role in the overall production of the IRGAwards, providing a full suite of services including sound, lighting, video and stage design. The event featured a 360-degree immersive environment created with eleven round screens and immersive audio technology, further enhancing the experience for attendees.

A team of 40 professionals from Europalco prepared for the event. Their efforts included intricate projection mapping using advanced video processing technology, which aligned with the audiovisual content displayed on the round screens.

Diogo Fernandes, project manager at Europalco, said, “The truth is that more and more clients feel confident in using the Kuka robots in their events, as they see that our team is well-prepared for the challenges. In essence, all Europalco’s investments are designed to provide customers with increasingly innovative content for their events.”
