On 6 July, the Events Industry Council (EIC), a global voice on the business events industry, announced the appointment of Augustine (Gus) Chijioke as director of certification and education.
Chijoke’s remit for the EIC includes directing the CMP and CMP-HC credentialing programme, ensuring the examination programme adheres to the highest test development and administration standards and continuing to develop the organisation’s educational products and services.
Chijioke said: “Education will play a critical role in supporting our members and the wider industry, as individuals and businesses rebuild over the coming months and years.”
Amy Calvert, CEO of the EIC, stated: “Gus will play a key role in the EIC’s continued attempt to deliver relevant high-quality education and make it available and easily accessible to an increasingly global audience.”
