Global auditors BPA Worldwide has announced the results of its CES 2019 event audit and confirms 175,212 unique visitors and exhibiting staff were in attendance during the four-day event, January 8-11, 2019, in Las Vegas.
BPA will also now assist CES, an annual event organised by the Consumer Technology Association, with the process of becoming an UFI Approved Event and an IAEE Certified Exhibition.
According to the BPA report, the CES show at the Las Vegas Convention Center welcomed 100,783 attendees; 68,064 exhibitor personnel and 6,365 members of the media.
Key industries represented by attendees included manufacturing (11,701); engineering/R&D (8,375); advertising & marketing (6,904) and software development/publishing (5,339).

BPA will again provide the independent audit for CES Asia in Shanghai, China, in 2019. The 2018 CES Asia event boasted 46,748 in total unique attendance last year, including 42,260 domestic and 4,488 international visitors.
As part of the audit process, a BPA team of auditors were on site for the entirety of CES 2019, and verified registration and attendance procedures at all event locations, including Las Vegas Convention Center, Sands Expo, Venetian, Westgate, Aria, Mandalay Bay and other remote locations. BPA also checked the gross and net exhibition space.
CES 2020 is scheduled to take place January 7-10, 2020.
