Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, already the jewel in Malaysia’s venue crown, is celebrating a new 11,000sqm expansion that is not only delivering new space and opportunities for clients, but opening up a whole new world of possibilities.
You design, KLCC delivers
Clients are invited to embrace a whole new mindset, as they can customise the new, improved spaces for their meetings design, given the multi-purpose flexibility.
The first official taste of the new and expanded offer came with the July 2019 opening of ARCHIDEX 2019.
The organiser’s President, C.I.S. Network, Sdn Bhd, Dat’ Vincent Lim is pictured (third left) in the foyer area outside Hall 6, one of the three multi-purpose halls in the venue’s extension. KLCC General Manager Alan Pryor is also giving the venue the thumbs up (second left).
The new fit out means that a dancing truss on every floor cuts down considerably on build up and break down time.
The extension enables the Centre to comfortably accommodate larger events, as well as host more events simultaneously. The new flexible spaces can accommodate innovative and experiential delivery of events, allowing clients to explore new meeting designs, networking hubs and to fully customise their delegate experience to suit any occasion.
New additions include an expansive foyer area adjoining the Plenary Hall. This is an area ideal for networking, cocktail and social engagement activities, which can also extend into Hall 6 – providing an additional 2,862 sqm. Hall 6, 7 and 8 also have a hospitality suite and one lounge which can be utilised for a variety of purposes.
The extra space is ideal also for clients to be able to grow their events. The prospect of bidding for larger national, regional and international conventions is also now a very viable option.
The expansive new networking space provides extra natural light for cocktails and enhances the view from several vantage points. Delegates are encouraged to get active and enjoy a ‘vertical view’ from the very top of the building.
This great spill out space connects delegates to the whole of the Centre. The flow and connectivity from new to existing space is easier than ever.
The space expansion and refresh is also reflected in an upgrade to the food and beverage experience, with the dining experience further improved by the backdrop and lighter ambience.
Organisers will, no doubt, also like the great new branding opportunities the new facilities have opened up for their events.
