Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has signed an agreement appointing Hala Abu Dhabi, the destination and leisure management division of Etihad Airways, as the official travel partner of key events organised by ADNEC.
Under the strategic partnership, Hala Abu Dhabi will provide travel services and holiday packages to visitors and exhibitors attending events held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The partnership demonstrates increasing recognition of the value of exhibitions to Abu Dhabi.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC and Hareb Almuhairy, senior vice president of destination and leisure management at Etihad Airways, signed the partnership agreement during a ceremony at ADNEC headquarters.

He added: “This is the latest in a series of agreements signed between ADNEC and leading national entities. The partnership is part of ADNEC’s strategy to step up collaboration with like-minded organisations, to enhance the competitiveness of its annual and biennial events. Those events deliver a significant impact on the economy of Abu Dhabi, drawing the participation of major exhibitors as well as thousands of experts, decision makers, and visitors from across the globe.

The key events to benefit from this partnership include the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX), the Simulation and Training Exhibition and Conference (SimTEX), the Unmanned System Exhibition and Conference (UMEX), Abu Dhabi International Boat show (ADIBS) and Sial.
