Easyfairs, has announced the launch of a new exhibition, PLD – Packaging of Premium & Luxury Drinks, that will bring together designers, innovators and suppliers of packaging in the international premium and luxury drinks markets.
The first edition of the event will take place on 29 & 30 January 2020 at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles and will be co-located with ADF&PCD, the world’s biggest exhibition for the packaging design and development community in the perfume, cosmetics, aerosol and dispensing markets.
PLD will offer world-leading design inspiration, new technical solutions and a networking platform for anyone involved in the creation of packaging for premium and luxury wines, spirits and soft drinks.
Talks and features at the show will offer insight into the thinking and work of top international influencers in this market, from brand owners to design agencies, retailers and trend forecasters.
The new event’s co-location with ADF&PCD will offer an opportunity for knowledge transfer between packaging designers and specifiers in the premium drinks market, and those in the perfume and cosmetics market.
Paul MacDonald, Global Brand Director – Packaging at Easyfairs, said: “Packaging professionals from the premium and luxury drinks market have been visiting ADF&PCD for a number of years to seek out the next packaging technology or trends in the perfume and cosmetics market that they can bring to their own projects.
“It was therefore a natural step to strengthen that relationship at the event and offer a true platform to facilitate that exchange; while also building a new international event in Paris to bring together this hugely creative community.
“The premium and luxury drinks market is behind some of the world’s most innovative and beautiful packaging; and I am looking forward to PLD playing a role in inspiring future creativity in this exciting market.”
Easyfairs acquired ADF&PCD in 2014 and since then the event has grown significantly. The next edition of ADF&PCD, on 29 & 30 January 2019, will welcome more than 600 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors from across the world to source their next packaging solutions.
