ICC Sydney has picked up the Best Venue Team award at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) Awards for Excellence.
The awards recognise the exceptional work of organisers, association organisers, venues and suppliers in the industry. The ICC Sydney team won for their delivery of the Australian Woodworking Industry Suppliers Association (AWISA) Exhibition in July 2018.
The delivery of AWISA required building the equivalent of five woodworking factories, including highly sensitive, robotic, and potentially dangerous equipment, under one roof and within eight days. The complex event delivery involved a vast number of ICC Sydney team members from across a range of departments.
The 2018 event saw a 16% increase in attendance from 2016, with 34% of visitors returning for a second or third time.
