Aztec Event Services has launched an operational base in Barcelona, following a period of strong growth to their client portfolio throughout the EU.

Aztec’s audio-visual, technical and production services are increasingly being demanded for corporate events and exhibitions overseas. Alongside the 700+ corporate events supported annually in the UK, Aztec’s growth in mainland Europe is such that the company has now opened a warehouse and office located close to the Fira Barcelona Gran Via.

This will facilitate the event services company to deploy industry-leading audio-visual, technical and creative services to events across Spain and Southern Europe.

The Aztec UK board appointed Oliver Richardson, Joe Archard and Guido Renzin to manage the operation, which offers a multi-lingual project management-led service to the European events industry.

Richardson commented: “Barcelona has long been considered a major event destination, with the UK providing a disproportionately large slice of the creativity and infrastructure. It seemed a very natural step, with Brexit on the horizon, to establish AztecEU and no better a place than the Catalan capitol.”

Archard said: “We’re delighted to now have a fully-stocked warehouse in the Catalan capital, offering our client base an extension of the awarding services we’ve become well known for in London.

"We’ve picked up some major events to deliver before Christmas, after which our focus will then shift towards Mobile World Congress in Spring 2019. It’s hugely exciting to be part of the AztecEU project and we’re looking forward to working with our customer base in Barcelona.”
