The Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) has inked an agreement with Chengdu ZhongLian Exhibition Co, the Chinese company that organizes Chengdu Environmental Protection Expo (CDEPE).
The agreement outlines a 60% purchase of the CDEPE exhibition by IEG, and is part of both company’s plan to develop the industries of green technology and environmental protection in Western China.
It was signed in the presence of undersecretary for Economic Development Prof Michele Geraci, during the 17thedition of the Western China International Fair di Chengdu.
CDEPE will benefit from the know-how of IEG’s Ecomondo show, which is taking place at Rimini Expo Centre from 6-9 November 2018. CDEPE itself will take place in 2019, from 22-24 March in Chengdu.
CDEPE will feature the participation of over 300 exhibitors, a layout divided into functional targeted areas, and the supervision of an authoritative scientific committee.
Ecomondo was also a key player at the Western China International Fair di Chengdu (WCIF), thanks to the long-term collaboration between IEG and ICE Italian Trade and Investment Agency. It was part of the Italian delegation of 55 companies in the Italia Pavilion, in one of the five thematic areas dedicated to the environment and sustainable urbanization.
