The Russian Convention Bureau (RCB) represented Russia at the recent IBTM China event in Beijing, the largest international event industry exhibition that caters to the Asian market.
This was Russia’s first experience of introducing the country’s event capabilities at a major industry venue in Pacific Asia.
The goal was to promote the country as a promising destination for major international conventions, demonstrate its industrial and infrastructural capabilities, and attract participants from the events industry in Asia.
The presentation highlighted the strides made by eastern regions of Russia, away from the European parts of the country.
The Russian exhibit also presented industry companies from the country that have collaborated with the RCB, including regional convention bureaus, event organizers, congress venues and suppliers.
Their programme at IBTM China also included presentations, working with buyers, and showcasing the best traditions of Russian hospitality.
