The Exhibition and Event Association of Australia has announced the date for its 2018 Global Exchange, which will take place on 3 October at ICC Sydney and L’Aqua at Cockle Bay Wharf.
Chris Skeith, CEO of the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) in the UK, will deliver the Global Exchange Oration this year. It will be held from 5:30 – 8:00pm at ICC Sydney.
Skeith has led the transformation of Britain’s peak body for events organisers. He previously headed ESSA, the Event Supplier and Services Association, as well as Business Visits and Event Partners.
The Global Exchange was introduced in 2017 to keep EEAA members and stakeholders connected to global leaders within the business events industry. The EEAA says it is “committed to ensuring our members have access to those at the cutting edge of industry innovation and change.”
Also on 3 October, EEAA will host the 2018 Gold and Platinum Partner Political Insiders Roundtable. This event will provide a state-of-play in Australian politics, and its implications for business in the country ahead of the upcoming federal election.
Dr Vanessa Findlay, lobbyist, Ministerial Chief of Staff and scientist, will lead the line-up for the roundtable, which will take place from 12:00 – 2:30pm at L’Aqua in Sydney.
Vanessa Findlay is currently Partner of Brickfielder Government Engagement and has had an active interest in the business events sector and its contribution to trade, investment and regional economic development.
