The 85th UFI Global Congress is taking place in St Petersburg this year, from 31 October – 3 November 2018.
UFI say this year’s event will have a special focus on global economic developments. There will be talks on economic growth, regional economic developments, false news and buying patterns, as well as reviews of GDP, EPS and stock indices.
Delegates will be guided through these topics by Stephane Garelli, an academic, author, businessman and politician who spoke at the 2011 UFI Congress. He was managing director of the World Economic Forum and the Davos Symposium from 1974 to 1987.
Other events which will run throughout the four days include the UFI running club, where delegates can break the ice by jogging together, and a talk on women in the exhibition industry featuring Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX Group, among others.
