A new index published by Eventex has revealed the top 20 destinations for meetings and events around the world.
The USA was first, followed by the UK and the Netherlands tied for second place. Others high placers were Austria, Italy, Poland and Belgium.
The results are based on a weighted score that takes into account the number of wins from each destination in the Global Event Industry Awards over the past two years.
Ovanes Ovanessian, co-founder of Eventex Awards, said: “Eventex Awards gather together the crème de la crème of the events world. Its exponential growth in the past few years has turned it into a true institution in the event industry.
“As such, we felt right that those agencies and destinations which constantly excel deserve additional recognition. So Eventex All-Stars Indexes came up as a natural extension of the awards. We’re proud to set the trends in our industry and that’s what keeps us on top.”
Eventex also produce the Eventex All-Stars, which is an index of the top 20 event organisers and agencies, measured by the Global Event Awards. Dutch company Xsaga came out on top of the most recent list.
