RAI Amsterdam is launching of its 46-year-old brand Intertraffic in Indonesia. Chief operating officer Maurits van der Sluis talks to EW about business both home and away
Tell us about the launch in Indonesia?
RAI Amsterdam’s Intertraffic, the largest and most important trade event brand in the global traffic industry expands to Indonesia with Intertraffic Indonesia 2018.
The event will present the latest traffic and mobility solutions to address the country’s various traffic problems.
Intertraffic Indonesia 2018 will be co-located with Indonesia Infrastructure Week (IIW), Konstruksi Indonesia and The Big 5 Construct Indonesia taking place from 31 October to 2 November 2018.
How is the RAI working with partners in Indonesia to achieve its goals?
Intertraffic Indonesia 2018 serves as a platform for key figures in infrastructure, traffic management, safety, parking lots, operational development, and all industry professionals to gather, do business and witness the best solutions that improve mobility and improve traffic conditions, not only in Jakarta but also other big cities in Indonesia and the ASEAN region.
For Intertraffic Indonesia, RAI Amsterdam intends to cooperate with Tarsus Indonesia, a business-to-business (B2B) event, exhibition, conference and media company to present Intertraffic Indonesia 2018.
Both parties signed a memorandum of understanding to pave the way to a successful cooperation.
How are you acting on what you learned from your most recent RAI Insights?
One of the things the research showed is that many visitors only decide what they want to see and do once they have arrived at the event.
Organisers can play into this by providing them with tools for organising their day as soon as they arrive.
From proper signage to a prep room, from matchmaking to napping zones, there are a broad range of options to increase the effectiveness of events. This report provides a clear overview.
