Global event organiser UBM has appointed Simon Hollins as group chief information officer (CIO).
Hollins starts officially on 9 May, and joins the UBM executive committee.
Hollins’ role includes working on UBM's internal technologies and processes while creating an IT function.
Hollins was previously CIO for Oxford University Press where he worked on external digital partnerships and internal systems for improved productivity. He also worked at EMI Music where he delivered digital supply chain and market insight programmes.
Tim Cobbold, chief executive of UBM said: "I am delighted Simon is joining UBM. His experience and expertise fit very well with our ‘Events First’ strategy and we are looking forward to working with him."
