The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) has launched a new logo and brand look at Shanghai Grand Ballroom, Kerry Hotel Pudong.
On 20 November more than 200 guests from government and industry were on hand helping SNIEC celebrate a new era.
The new logo combines the SNIEC name along with two triangles representing the shape of the venue.
SNIEC’s statement reads: “The dynamic combination of triangles expresses the spirit of cooperation, sharing, and innovation. Lastly, the red and grey colors symbolize vitality and wisdom. The new tagline, ”experience & excellence” also debuted during the special occasion.”
SNIEC is jointly owned by German Exposition Corp, a joint subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG, Messe Duesseldorf, and Messe Muenchen, and the Shanghai Lujiazui Exhibition Development Co.
In 1999, former German Chancellor Schroeder, and former Shanghai Deputy Mayors Zhou Yupeng and Jiang Yiren attended the foundation-laying ceremony to kick off the construction of SNIEC.
Beginning with its opening on November 2, 2001, the SNIEC project developed from the initial four halls over twelve expansion phases into 17 column-free, ground-level exhibition halls, covering 200,000 sqm of indoor space and 100,000sqm of outdoor space.
SNIEC has three entrance halls, 20 loading bays, 2 multilayer parking garages and 5 large outdoor parking lots, providing 4,730 parking spaces.
