New business cards are on order at ITE Group, after the UK-based exhibition organiser announced changes to three senior managment roles.
The expanded roles focus on digital marketing, the group’s strategy to develop sector-based exhibition portfolios and its growing activity in Asia.
Chief executive Russell Taylor said: “These are important developments for the group and are reflective of the changes in the exhibition industry worldwide.”
Regional director Nik Rudge will take up the new role of group operations director.
Rudge will oversee the development of exhibition portfolios across industry sectors, which complements the company's regional approach. Portfolio directors from building and interiors, food and drink, oil and gas, transport and logistics, beauty, travel and tourism, will report to Rudge.
Meanwhile, group digital director Baris Onay (pictured above) will take responsibility for group-wide marketing as group marketing and digital director.
Onay’s role will strengthen the infrastructure needed to continuously improve event quality, customer communication, branding and group-wide digital projects.
Finally, ITE's regional director for Asia, Mark Temple-Smith, will now report to chief executive Russell Taylor in a move that reflects the growing importance of Asia to the business. Temple-Smith will also take a seat on the group’s senior management board.
As previously reported in EW, the group is set to take a majority stake in one of India's largest privately owned exhibition organisers.
“As the business grows, we need to maintain cohesion, especially in our dealings with our clients,” Taylor added. “This means an increasing emphasis on event quality, customer experience and the way we service our customers across industries as well as across regions.”
