BBC Good Food Show to launch first international edition

Foodies will find new sources of culinary inspiration with the launch of three additional BBC Good Food Shows, including the event’s first international edition.

Organiser River Street events will launch the BBC Good Food Show Dubai and BBC Good Food Festive Fayre in December 2015, as well as the BBC Good Food Show Summer in the City in May 2016.

In 2016, the brand’s portfolio of 11 shows, which leverage the lifestyle magazine, is expected to reach 300,000 visitors.

BBC Good Food Shows managing director Laura Biggs said she was excited to launch three new editions of the event, which combines entertainment from celebrity chefs with shopping and culinary ideas.

“Our successful collaboration with Hampton Court Palace continues as we launch a Festive Fayre within the historic courtyards this December.

“We are delighted to be bringing the tried and tested successful formula of a BBC Good Food Show to ExCeL for the first time,” Biggs said.

Celebrity baker Paul Hollywood will join chef James Martin and renowned Dubai chef Silvena Rowe for the Good Food Show Dubai at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 17-19 December 2015.

The Christmas-themed show, to be co-located with the Dubai Winter Festival, is expected to attract 20,000 food lovers to browse goods from local and international producers.

The Good Food Festive Fayre will also embrace Christmas by staging a candlelit Tudor-themed Winter Kitchen, complete with open fire, at Hampton Court Palace on 4-6 December 2015.

“Hampton Court Palace offers the perfect backdrop for a food festival, ” said Biggs. “At Christmas time, the mix of the stunning backdrop and the handpicked seasonal exhibitors will make for a truly magical and unique food experience.”

Meanwhile, London ExCeL will stage the BBC Good Food Show Summer in the City and Eat Well Show at on 20-22 May 2016.

ExCeL London executive director Jeremy Rees said: “We are delighted to be welcoming the BBC Good Food Show Summer to ExCeL London in 2016.

“We are already making an investment of over £15 million into our venue catering facilities which will enhance the ExCeL experience for all our customers, so this is an excellent time to be welcoming an iconic consumer brand.”
