THAILAND - Latitude, the new waterfront function venue at Laguna Phuket in the south of the country, has launched in a Hollywood-themed event.
The purpose-built venue’s debut event was a business exchange session for 100 meeting, conference, incentive and exhibition (MICE) buyers and sellers, staged by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
The event, part of TCEB’s Connections Plus 2010 programme, which showcases Phuket’s international MICE credentials, offered delegates a chance to screen test on stage for a film being made on the new facility.
In September Latitude will host the Travel Agents Association of India’s annual India Travel Congress, a two-day convention and exhibition at Laguna Phuket.
Latitude occupies a total concrete surface area of 1,500sqm and is capable of accommodating up to 1,000 guests in theatre style, 800 for cocktails, and 600 for banquets.
