Bangkok Airport Rail Link commences after four-year delay

THAILAND – The Bangkok government officially opened on 23 August its long-awaited Airport Rail Link, four years after it was proposed.

The rail link will provide a 15-minute alternative for visitors travelling from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the city centre; and a 30-minute commuter trip through the Thai capital.

Promotional fares can be purchased for each of the services until the end of the year, however, a single commuter ticket, combining both links, has yet to be offered so passengers will have to buy tickets separately.
