UK - Confex Group portfolio director Duncan Reid is to leave UBM Live before next month’s Event UK show at The NEC. He is to join Clarion Events’ defence and security exhibition DSEi.
He said: “I’ve had a fantastic 14 years at UBM, but I’m ready to move on to a new challenge. Clarion is at an exciting period in its development and provides a new opportunity that I’m really looking forward to.”
Portfolio director of Leisure Industry Week, Jonny Sullens, will take charge of the Confex Group products which include International Confex, Event UK and Venuefinder.com.
UBM Live group director, Simon Parker, thanked Reid for his contribution over the years, saying: “The portfolio has constantly developed under his management and there are already very exciting plans in place for next year’s Confex.”
