Ogden seeks new GM for Qatar National Convention Centre

QATAR - AEG Ogden has been left without a general manager for its Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) project, due to open next year, following ex-GM Paul D’Arcy’s return to Australia “for personal reasons”.

Ogden, which operates the QNCC on behalf of the Qatar Foundation, is advertising hard for a new GM and CEO Harvey Lister said the new appointment will be part of “a new expansion of the team that will manage detailed preparation for the first major event, the World Petroleum Congress in December 2011, and deliver a truly world class facility for the ongoing benefit of Doha and Qatar.

“To this end we have commenced a global search for an experienced manager to build and lead our team into the next exciting phase.”

Lister added “being familiar with Middle Eastern cultural requirements and sensitivities”, would be a requirement for any new candidate GM.
