Future World event to launch in London

UK - Future World Symposium, a conference and exhibition focusing on the electronic industry, is to debut in London this September.

Organised by the UK’s electronic trade association, The National Microelectronics Institute (NMI), the two-day event will also feature a panel debate on open source models, as well as other seminars discussing personal computing, mobile, wireless and digital media issues.

"The event is all about raising awareness of the UK industry, as well as encouraging business between international companies," says NMI event organiser, John Moor. "We also chose Lords Cricket Ground as the venue as it is internationally recognised. We’ve used social website LinkedIn and we’ve been talking with our regional promotional partners in the US, India and Asia to drive further awareness."

Moor adds that the exhibition will feature between 12 and 18 exhibitors in total, "as we look to start with a targeted vision and hopefully see the event grow for future editions".

Future World Symposium takes place 15 – 16 September 2010 at the Lords Cricket Ground.
