ITE cancels Russia travel expo

RUSSIA - Event organiser ITE Group has cancelled its autumn travel exhibition Otdykh/Leisure 2010 in order to focus on its flagship event, the similarly-themed MITT.

Otdykh/Leisure was last held in partnership with MSI Fairs and Exhibitions at Moscow’s Expocentre in September.

General director of ITE LLC, Alexander Shtalenkov, says: “It was a logical step to meet the demands of the market, which have become clear over the past few years. We have listened to the industry and are pleased to come forward with the initiative to cancel the duplicate events.”

MITT 2011 will take place from 16 to 19 March at Expocentre. It is Russia’s largest travel and tourism exhibition, bringing over 3,000 companies from 120 countries. This year’s show had 79,500 registered attendees.
