Infosecurity Europe celebrates most successful event ever

EUROPE - Organisers of information security event Infosecurity Europe have posted record visitor attendance from its 15th show last month.

The show saw 324 exhibitors and boasted a final visitor figure of 12,566 over the event’s three days, excluding repeat visitors.

Event director Claire Sellick believes businesses will continue to invest in information security technology, even after a decline in recent years. “With a new wave of security breaches hitting organisations at a cost of over £10bn a year, it seems information security technology is now seen as an essential requirement for businesses to consider,” she says.

Sellick went on to say that 82 per cent of exhibitor space has already been booked for the 2011 edition of the exhibition.

Director of the US Cyber Consequences Unit, Scott Borg, says: “Infosecurity Europe has become a true transatlantic event. It provides a forum for sharing ideas with global colleagues about universal problems.”

Infosecurity Europe 2011 takes places at Earls Court on 19 – 21 April 2011.
