New interiors exhibition at Gulf BID

BAHRAIN - HCE Exhibitions, organiser of the construction and interiors exhibition Gulf BID, has launched the first ever stand-alone Gulf Interiors event alongside it this week.

The new show will cater for residential and commercial interior design solutions, and has attracted 42 exhibitors, which brings the total amount of exhibitors between the two shows up to 166.

"We felt there was a void in terms of shows catering for the Northern Gulf’s interiors sector," says director of HCE, Kim Willis. "With a number of projects here coming to fruition, the time felt right to launch Gulf Interiors to help developers realise or finish their work."

According to MD of HCE, Jubran Abdulrahman, Northern Gulf countries are in the midst of or are planning large strategic investment programmes which will act as catalyst for other major projects.

"An estimated US$400bn is being spent on infrastructure development over the next five years, while Qatar will be starting new projects worth US$100bn over the same period," he adds.

The fifth Gulf BID with Gulf Interiors opens today at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre and runs until 6 May.
