SWEDEN - The Swedish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Goteborg has appointed a new exhibition manager of for its tourist, travel and conference industry event, TUR.
Per Magnusson will replace Johan Lundberg, who has been the general director of TUR (pictured) since 2002. Magnusson, spent two years as assistant exhibition manager, he will now be responsible for the entire event.
The 26-year-old exhibition TUR attracted 19,000 trade visitors and more than 30,000 members of the public to its 2010 event, which took place last month.
“TUR receives a lot of praise from both the industry and the general public. But we mustn’t rest on our laurels,” says Magnusson. “I want to start by making TUR an even more professional event. For this reason, one of my main tasks this year will be to give exhibitors and visitors even more opportunities for profitable meetings during TUR. For example, Meetings@TUR will be twice as big this year.”
