The Power of Events – the platform designed to showcase, value and respect the UK events industry – will officially launch in February.
The not-for-profit organisation, which evolved from the One Industry One Voice campaign, was set up to deliver a comprehensive online communications hub alongside an industry research app and evaluation platform.
The Power of Events launch will be held on 16 February at HERE at Outernet, a new live events space in London. Key objectives and focus for the coming year will be announced at the launch event. More detail on the research and insight app it has been developing will also be announced.
Over the past 12 months, hundreds of businesses have signed up as supporters and the start-up fund has reached more than £150,000. New supporters include Informa plc and EasyFairs.
More than 70 organisations with a broad representation from across the industry are now industry partners.
Rick Stainton, founder of The Power of Events, said: “This is just the start of a long journey of evolution to best showcase, respect and value the UK events industry, working with and for the UK events professionals – everyone is invited to contribute – it has got to be designed by the industry for the industry.
“We are really grateful for the collaboration and spirit of unity demonstrated over the last twelve months by countless event professionals.”
