tfconnect is to relaunch as an events organiser, the primary function of the business when it was founded in 2009.
The business previously ran the Global Event Summit for industry CEOs and Event Logistics Live for the event freight forwarding community. The company was also organiser of ‘Namuwongo Nights’ for the industry charitable cause, Events for Namuwongo.
tfconnect more recently has been concentrating on its global headhunting division leaving no room for the events programme, it says. Now, with MD Miranda Martin (pictured) running tfconnect Global Talent and Partnerships, recent event activity has led to the relaunch of the events business as a separate legal entity.
tfconnect ran a ‘crisis’ event for industry CEOs during the Covid period, which became affectionately known as the ‘Illegal rave’! The company also dabbled in running a couple of small events for industry leaders and now says it has been asked to run further events.
tconnect chairman, Trevor Foley, says: “We have a simple philosophy of running engaging, fun and memorable industry events and are delighted to be back in the organising game. We will soon be launching a new event for the industry ... Watch this space!”
