Sustainable events: Nine things you can do to make a difference

Register for the online Panel Discussion: "Sustainable events – 9 things you can do to make a difference", and embark on a journey to understand what sustainability is and identify concrete steps you can take to make your events more sustainable. The event is scheduled for 14.00-15.00 UK Time on 29 November as a free LinkedIn session.

Starting in January this year, the Exhibition Think Tank Sustainability Group met on a regular basis to tackle the important topic, Sustainability. With members coming from all regions in the world and representing all five corners of the industry, with contributions from members including DHL Global Logistics, Bologna Fiere, Messe Frankfurt and the Global Sustainable Tourism Bureau, the group came together with one goal; to create a group ‘9 Block’ – 9 actions that are relatable to all stakeholders in the industry, but also, importantly, that can be done now.

The ETT Sustainability group will discuss their findings with a panel of international speakers to give the audience a better understanding of what Sustainability means and where to start with simple concrete steps to make a difference and go towards sustainable events.

Speakers include: Duncan Reid, CEO & Co-Founder, Reset Connect; Dr Debbie Kristiansen, general manager, Exhibition World Bahrain, and Jorg Zeissig, CEO, Holtmann GmbH & Co.KG.

Other main contributors to the project include, from the UK: Mark Eddy, Guy Garside, Tim Brown and Dan Cordero; while from Germany will be Anna Schulze-Niehoff and Achim Rauser. Paul Grinnall and Jasmine Lew from the UAE and Petro Bottazzi from Italy, as well as Dan Schneider from the US and Melissa McQuillan from Canada make up the list.
