Saudi Wood Expo launches amid rapid expansion in the Kingdom

dmg events, a trade and exhibition organiser in Saudi Arabia, has announced the launch of Saudi Wood Expo, as part the Kingdom’s phased 2030 Vision expansion plan.

The new event will serve the woodworking, wood processing, and wood product manufacturing market segment in Saudi Arabia, running as part of a cluster of events at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC) from 2 - 4 September 2024.

According to Data Bridge Market Research, the wood and woodworking market in the Kingdom is expected to reach a value of USD $4.1b by 2029.

The launch of Saudi Wood Expo follows the launch of other targeted shows in the Kingdom by dmg events, such as Saudi Signage Expo and Saudi Hospital Design & Build Expo.

Ben Greenish“Encouraging the development of local wood industries can contribute to economic diversification by creating jobs, attracting investment, and fostering entrepreneurship,” says Ben Greenish, senior VP, dmg events (pictured left).

“The Saudi Wood Expo will give local wood businesses invaluable exposure and networking opportunities … It will also be a platform for foreign companies to enter the Saudi market and display their wood products or technologies,” Greenish continues.

The event is expected to attract industry leaders who will explore the latest trends, technological advancements, and a wide array of products.

Anticipated to additionally attract over 4,000 attendees and over 75 exhibitors, the expo will be attended by professionals such as contractors, builders and developers, consultants, architects, interior designers and more.

The three-day event will be co-located with the recently launched Saudi Warehousing and Logistics Expo: “Both inextricably linked shows are aligned to the development ambitions within Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and in meeting consistently growing market demands,” Greenish concludes.

The launch of the Saudi Wood Expo represents a significant milestone for dmg events, which has offices in Riyadh and Jeddah. With a portfolio of more than 20 events, the new event highlights the group’s foothold in Saudi Arabia.
