Pet Fair SEA postponed until October 2021, organisers VNU citing Thai quarantine rules for second postponement

Organisers have announced that Pet Fair SEA, the international tradefair for the pet industry in South-East Asia, will be postponed until October 2021.

It is the second postponement of the event due to travel restrictions affecting those entering Thailand. Currently, all entering the country must quarantine for 14 days.

As these policies would affect attendees and exhibitors alike, organisers VNU Asia Pacific and VNU Asia made the decision to postpone ‘Pet Fair SEA 2021’ to Q4 of 2021. The physical show will be moved to 6-8 October, 2021.

While the physical show has been postponed, plans for the virtual platform PreConnect remain unchanged and will launch on 14 October 2020. Exhibitors can use the platform to meet new customers, matching with the right partners to do business with at the PreConnect event.

PreConnect will offer free access to the full conference line up, available from any time zone.

Manuel Madani, project leader of Pet Fair SEA and head of Competence Center said: “We are still receiving many registrations. Both visitors and exhibitors are signing up despite the uncertainties. We are happy that the industry is trusting us, but we need to make the right decisions. Now that we have entered South-East Asia, the fastest growing area in the world, we need to do our best to deliver our promises. The good news is that that 80% of the tradefair has been booked. This allows us to focus on adding more quality for next year.”
