The Travel & Adventure Show series concluded its 2024 season in March having appeared in nine US cities during its programame including: Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington DC, Dallas, the Bay Area, and, new to the Series, Phoenix.
As travel demand in the US recovered to pre-pandemic levels, the organisers reported record attendance at the shows, with travellers eager to learn about new destinations, take advantage of show-floor deals and receive expert travel advice and meet with celebrities such as Rick Steves (pictured), Andrew McCarthy, Peter Greenberg and host of Netflix’s ‘Somebody Feed Phil’, Phil Rosenthal.
The show made its way to Phoenix for its debut year at the Phoenix Convention Center, where 9,000 attendees got to meet with representatives from over 250 local and international exhibitors, such as main show sponsors Tourism Fiji and Go Touch Down Travel & Tours.
Chicago’s longest-running travel show returned this year to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center with Rick Steves’ Europe, Visit Loudoun and South African Tourism as headline sponsors. The show welcomed over 16,000 attendees and more than 350 exhibitors for a weekend of travel inspiration.
The New York Travel & Adventure Show returned for its third year to the Javits Convention Center where a sold-out show welcomed a record 24,000 attendees. The Los Angeles Show marked its 19th-year with a record-breaking 17,000 attendees, while The Denver Travel & Adventure Show welcomed over 10,000 attendees and saw 250 exhibitors.
The Washington DC Travel & Adventure Show welcomed 15,000 attendees and 250 exhibitors, while the Atlanta edition saw 8,000 attendees make their way to the Cobb Galleria Centre to meet with 200 exhibitors.
Over 9,000 attendees turned up at Dallas Market Hall for the Dallas Travel & Adventure Show where 250 exhibitors were on duty.
“2024 brings with it a record year for travel eclipsing pre-pandemic years. This was no surprise for the Travel & Adventure Show exhibitors who witnessed robust attendance, record at-show bookings, the greatest attendee demographics, and more travel advisors in our show series history,” said John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm, LLC, the producers of the shows.
