Christian Ortlepp (pictured) is the new director guest events at Messe and Congress Center Basel and Messe Zürich, where he will be responsible for the ongoing expansion of the offerings at the Basel and Zurich venues. He takes over the role from Jonas Scharf who has been appointed new COO of the division Exhibitions & Events. Christian Ortlepp was previously head of sales for guest events in Basel.
Scharf’s new role is a newly created post where he is now responsible for the Technical Office, the Building & Operations team, quality management and technical services. He will be focusing increasingly on the further development of the service portfolio and the MCH Group’s infrastructure in Switzerland.
Alongside his role as COO, Jonas Scharf remains MD Venues in Basel and acts as deputy to Roman Imgrüth, CEO of the division Exhibitions & Events.
