EVENTIT, a Scotland-based exhibition for the MICE and hospitality sectors, will pilot a summer webinar series alongside its September show.
The summer webinars will cover topics including communication, event design, sustainability, and wellbeing within the global industry.
The August webinars are part of EVENTIT’s revised education programme, which is usually a part of the annual trade show. With the introduction of the webinars, the education programme has been split into two parts.
First, all guests will be able to access all the sessions via a virtual platform, rather than balance attending education events, networking, and meeting exhibitors at the September show.
Secondly, those attending the in-person trade show in Edinburgh can join ‘campfire style’ ‘meet the expert’ discussion groups with speakers, which will be follow-ups to the webinar topics.
Judith Wilson, director at EVENTIT said: “This new format enables [delegates] to benefit from the knowledge of all our speakers within a few hours, thanks to our fantastic 3D platform designed by Vii and the technical support of Sparq.”
Wilson continued: “On the day of the in-person show in Edinburgh, delegates will be free to maximise the networking opportunities and engage in more in-depth discussions with our speakers and their peers.”
EVENTIT explained its ideal audience for the webinars include PCO, associations, agencies, DMCs, public, private, and third sector organisations. The sessions will each be two hours with up to five 20 - 30 minute sessions.
A line-up of confirmed speakers has been announced, who will address topical concerns within the industry. The confirmed line-up includes Stas Zaslavsky, founder of Vii; Chloe Richardson, VP senior corporate relations at Explori; Lindsay Martin-Bilbrey, CEO of Nifty Method; and others.
