India’s MEX Exhibitions is launching, in collaboration with India Exposition Mart Ltd, Leather Asia Expo and Shoe Technology 2022.
The show will run at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi - NCR 10-12 November 2022, providing a platform for the entire leather and footwear technology value chain industry.
India is currently the second largest exporter of leather garments in the world and also the second largest producer of footwear in the world.
Shri Piyush Goyal, India’s commerce and industry and textile minister, recently stated that the nation is proud of the leather industry for its achievements, pointing out it was at the forefront of innovation and design. The minister urged the industry to aim for higher export growths, engage with the world in a bigger way and become self-sufficient.

Highlights of the show include a business matching programme, conferences and workshops and a technology showcase. There will also be a key focus on sustainability.
Organisers add that the exhibition is targeted at creating a one-stop sourcing platform for the entire leather supply chain as well as the footwear and shoe technology industry.
