US-based Exposition Development Company Inc. (ExpoDevCo) celebrated its 10-year anniversary in January with the company set to produce 11 events in 2022, including one show launch.
Led by CEO David Audrain and COO Stephanie Everett (both pictured), the company, which recently extended its SISO management contract, now has 17 staff as it continues to hire coming out of Covid with a majority of its pre-pandemic team still in place.
“While the last two years proved more challenging than the first eight, we are grateful to have made it to this point and are now looking forward to a new phase of growth, expansion and success for the ExpoDevCo team,” said Stephanie Everett.
ExpoDevCo is a privately owned company solely owned by its original owners, Audrain and Everett. The business produces 12 exhibitions and conferences, which it owns either solely or as joint ventures. ExpoDevCo also manages several association-owned events and conferences under various management agreements. Shows and events currently produced by ExpoDevCo include: Furniture Manufacturing Expo; New England Food Show; ExpoProduccion Mexico; and the Techno Security Digital Forensics Conferences.
“The first 10 years have been a great experience for us,” said Audrain, who has more than 28 years of experience in the exhibition industry previously working for organisations such as the Texas Restaurant Association, Advanstar (now Informa Markets) and ConvExx. “We started from zero and have built a terrific team with many wonderful partners. We expect to see substantial growth for our company in the next few years both organically from several of our events, and through some new partnerships we are working on.”
The latest partnership includes a show launch, the Independent Hotel Show Miami, by ExpoDevCo and its joint-venture partner, UK-based Montgomery Group, producer of the Independent Hotel Show Show Amsterdam and the Independent Hotel Show London.
The Independent Hotel Show Miami debuts 2-3 November at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
ExpoDevCo and the Society of Independent Show Organisers (SISO) also recently signed another three-year extension to the management services agreement in place since 2015.
