French technology group Infopro Digital has announced the acquisition of the Paris-based Eventmaker company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2009 by Tristan Verdier (pictured), Eventmaker offers organisations web-based software to manage physical, virtual and hybrid events. In 2021, its platform facilitated 3,500 events with over two million attendees.
The acquisition moves Infopro Digital firmly into the event tech market, a market that has been growing rapidly since the pandemic and the digitalisation of events.
Christophe Czajka, president of Infopro Digital, said of the move: “Thanks to its all-in-one technological solution that digitalises all stages of event organisation (from registration to networking to lead generation), Eventmaker succeeds in converging physical and digital environments to enrich the participants’ experience. The solution is fully in line with the Infopro Digital group's mission to connect communities of professionals, and represents, for our customers, the most promising solution for the event industry.”
Eventmaker CEO Verdier described the deal as a “key milestone for Eventmaker. We will benefit from the resources of the Infopro Digital group and thus accelerate our development as the French and European leader in event tech.”
He said: “For several years, Eventmaker has been pursuing an all-in-one platform strategy that operates in four markets (trade fairs, congresses, event agencies, corporate events). This strategy, and the teams’ tremendous ability to adapt, have enabled us to provide the most complete solution on the market for hybridising events and animating communities.
Laurent Leenhardt, executive director Software Division at Infopro Digital, said the combination of the companies’ know-how in technology and event organisation made for many opportunities. “With its complete and unique platform, Eventmaker perfectly meets the challenges of companies, agencies and tradeshow and congress organisers.”
Infopro Digital is ranked as the 8th largest French technology group and is present in 17 countries and employs nearly 4,000 people.
