Further evidence of Dubai’s ability to host events as an international hub, including for technology, is the news that the emirate is to welcome the region’s first Cybertech Global event, 5-7 April. Dubai's Grand Hyatt hotel will host the 8th edition of the international exhibition and conference – the largest security networking event to be held outside the US – and in the process reinforce its position as an international hub for technology and cybersecurity innovation. This in-person event is expected to draw high-level stakeholders, start-ups, government entities and organisations from various countries, with organisers expecting 50 delegations and 52 companies to participate at the event.
His Excellency Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, director general of the Dubai Electronic Security Center, said: “Through hosting Cybertech Global Dubai, we seek to highlight Dubai’s successful experience in embracing the digital revolution. The government of Dubai has made significant strides in digital transformation and seeks to continue enhancing its cooperation and sharing its expertise with countries and entities both regionally and globally.”
He added: " This challenging period has highlighted the role that digital technologies serve in our lives, and the tangible impact they can have."
