Reed Exhibitions’ IBTM portfolio has announced a new hybrid event, IBTM Wired, which will take place from 28 June – 1 July this year.
The event will put a spotlight on four different regions across its four days, with online conference sessions, meetings and networking.
Day one will focus on the Asia Pacific region, while day two will move on to the Americas. Day three is focused on Africa and the Middle East, and day four on Europe.
IBTM Wired will be a permanent fixture for IBTM going forwards, and is not planned as a one off. Reed Exhibitions’ event manager Michael Jones, who announced the new event in a press conference, said it will return in 2022 even once live events have returned.
The event will run through IBTM TV, which was debuted for IBTM World Virtual in December 2020. It is expected to attract 600 exhibitors and hosted buyers.
Reed also announced a partnership for the event with the Singapore MICE Forum and its organiser SACEOS.
Aloysius Arlando, president of SACEOS and AIPC, commented: “This new event is a reflection of the joint commitment that Reed and SACEOS made in 2019. Unfortuately, Covid slightly ruined those plans. We hope that through the Singapore MICE Forum partnering with IBTM Wired we will be able to bring to the table new ways of community engagement and design thinking.
“We will be sharing insights from the pilot events which Singapore has been holding in recent months. It is essential that we restart the business events and travel industries.”
