It is a little over a week to go until the 87th UFI Global Congress 2020, which goes fully digital for the first time this year and is held under the main theme of ‘Resilience’.
There will be the usual rich seam of content, panels, breakouts and networking, only accessible this time from the comfort of your home or office. The global association of the exhibition industry, UFI has lined up 50 speakers and 16 hours of live programming over the four days, and across all time zones.
The main Congress programme content comprises four blocks of four hours, presented live by the UFI Regional Managers from their respective regions. These live sessions will be broadcast during core business hours.
As networking is a crucial part of the UFI Global Congress, the association has made sure delegates can connect globally in designated time slots. The matchmaking tool will enable potential partners and customers to meet at least screen-to-screen.
All content will be available live and on-demand through the Global Congress platform, from across the globe, in any time zone. And that content includes four expert speakers from outside the industry, but who’s words will be super relevant for our sector.
They are: Gloria Guevara, president and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), which is lobbying hard to reopen the international travel industry through rapid testing for coronavirus; Dr Hendrik Streeck, professor of virology at Bonn University, Germany, and advocate of herd immunity; Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger, chairman of the Munich Security Conference; and Dr Florence Eid-Oakden, chief economist and CEO of Arabia Monitor.
Register here to take part in this year’s Global Congress, to have your voice heard and connect with the global exhibition community.
