Informa Markets has announced that CPhI South East Asia has been rescheduled to 18-20, May 2021. the event had been scheduled for 4-6 November 2020 in Maung Thong Thani, Thailand.
Informa said the event was rescheduled to "give the ASEAN pharma community more time to recover and to mitigate any global disruptions caused by Covid-19".
Silvia Forroova, brand director at Informa Markets, said: “The decision to reschedule the event to 2021 reflects changing attendee needs. By moving to spring next year, we will enable exhibitors and visitors to get the maximum amount of value from the show. A 2021 CPhI South East Asia will deliver reassurance to our community and alleviate many of the logistical challenges for overseas visitors. We consulted with our stakeholders and this change will empower greater numbers and a more inclusive event for the Southeast Asian pharma community."
The event will return to the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand and further details are promised by Informa, which will also be creating a CPhI South East Asia online business matchmaking platform, to "facilitate unlimited connections and break through the physical restrictions".
Forroova added: “We understand the vital role our events play in facilitating new business and networking. So we are now working on a dedicated online business matchmaking tool to empower our Southeast Asia pharma community. But, we will also use the additional time to develop a show that will be well worth the wait.”
