Major trade shows and conventions coming to San Diego Convention Center, USA, in January are expected to generate over US$42m in direct delegate spend, according to local research.
The venue is starting the new year on the front foot with several large trade events booked in for the first two months of 2019.
The January B2B programme starts with Minefaire on 5-6 January. It is a trade show expecting to attract 10,000 attendees.
That is followed by the Mary Kay Leadership Conference, 16-23 January for 8,000 delegates and the San Diego Travel & Adventure Show, 19-20 January, expected to pull in 14,000 attendees.
At the end of the month, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons will hold its 55th Annual Meeting (26-30 January) for 5,000 delegates and the IPC APEX EXPO rounds off the events month, 29-31 January, by bringing 8,000 attendees for a five-day convention and trade show catering to the printed circuit board and electronics manufacturing industry.
Professionals from around the world will come to discuss Professional Development, Standards Development and Certification programmes.
