ART SG is a new art fair coming to Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands hotel, from 1-3 November 2019.
It is organised by AngusMontgomery Arts, Tim Etchells and the MCH Group, who plan to make it an annual event which engages with established collectors as well as new buyers.
The organisers have previous experience of establishing new fairs in Hong Kong, with ART HK and Art Central, as well as Sydney Contemporary and Photo Shanghai.
ART SG will showcase around 80 established and experimental contemporary art galleries from Singapore, Southeast Asia and the wider world.
Ms Serene Tan, director of arts and cultural projects at the Singapore Tourism Board, said: “We are pleased that three leading art fair organisers are coming together to launch a brand-new fair in Singapore.
“We believe that the new fair will present fresh opportunities for Singapore gallerists and artists to be showcased alongside their international counterparts and to an international audience.
“The addition of a new fair also reinforces Singapore’s standing as the gateway to the visual arts scene in Southeast Asia, and accentuates our appeal as a cultural and lifestyle destination for art lovers.”
