Confex Future Focus opened its doors at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester, on 4 July. A strong pre-registration translated into strong visitor attendance on Day 1, with the aisles notably bustling with buyers.
Every aspect of the events industry is being represented, from the increasingly popular academic venues sector to creative agency WRG and from event technology specialists Cvent to Titan the robot.
The morning session in the keynote theatre discussed the future of the agency model, with the panel including Tim Collet of WRG and Jon Kelly of Meet and Potato. A full report on the topic will follow.
Event director Simon Farnfield was pleased with the show’s opening, saying: “The energy surrounding this event during build up was immense, and I’m thrilled that it has translated into physical energy here at Victoria Warehouse. There is a great vibe on the show floor and it’s great to see so many appointments taking place.”
Today “...will see TV personality Kate Thornton take the stage in the keynote theatre to discuss making the right choices when choosing a speaker, so we are really excited for that and I’d urge anyone in the industry in Manchester and the North West to register to attend to listen to what she has to say,” added Farnfield.
