International organisers Reed Exhibitions, UBM, Deutsche Messe, Comexposium and Artexis Easyfairs are among the industry leaders attending Transform Europe 2017 today.
The conference, which takes place on 6 December 2017 at London's Savoy Place, is the third in AMR International's series of leadership conferences designed to help exhibition organisers tackle the data and digital transformation facing the industry, giving delegates insight into opportunities that can improve the longevity of their event portfolios as well as their bottom lines.
The conference comprises a range of sessions with future forecasting, live case studies and panel discussions formats throughout the day.
AMR said this latest addition of senior directors and C-level executives will further enrich the event and contribute to making it truly representative of the global exhibition industry. Other industry names involved in the event include ASP, Explori, Feathr, Gleanin, Grip, Poken and Visit by GES.
“This event comes in response to the industry’s ongoing reluctance to plan for its long-term digital transformation,” said AMR MD Denzil Rankine. “We know technology is rapidly changing the event experience and the expectations of attendees but exhibition organisers are slow to act. Very few organisers have allocated budgets for the research and development of digitisation. Across the board, they are uncertain how to proceed, fear the failure of implementation and continue to wait for others to make the first move.”
The Transform Europe 2017 conference programme has been carefully curated under the watchful eye of a highly experienced content committee, who have been instrumental in selecting strategic conference topics and intelligent, experienced and inspiring speakers.
The committee features Matthias Baur (founder and senior consultant, MBB-Media), Stephan Forseilles (head of technology and digital Transformation, Artexis Easyfairs), Tim Groot (co-Founder and CEO, Grip), Denzil Rankine (executive chairman, AMR International), Florent Jarry (director, AMR International) and Antony Reeve-Crook, author, journalist and director of consultancy Arcimedia Ltd.
AMR reports that today 80 per cent of exhibition revenue comes from exhibit space sales. Growth will continue but in 10 years that ratio is likely to look quite different. Exhibitions might only yield 60 per cent of their revenue from exhibit space sales. This is because volume and pricing growth will stagnate and revenue growth will come from new, digitally-enabled services.
Registration for Transform Europe is now live via AMR's website, or at www.transformeurope.net
