Messe Frankfurt has revealed growth metrics that indicate its growing market position in India.

Messe Frankfurt Exhibition subsidiary Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India has introduced some of its parent company’s trade fairs to India.

The company started from a small office within the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce in Mumbai to a workforce of more than 100 employees managing 22 B2B trade fairs in India over the last decade.

The Indian subsidiary introduced a number of international events in the country including ACMA Automechanika New Delhi, Ambiente India, Heimtextil India, Techtextil India, Light India, SPS Automation India, Control India, Motek India and Secutech India which are renowned in their respective sectors.

The growth continued with the acquisition of Automotive Engineering Show, LED Expo, Media Expo and more recently the Indian International Elevators and Escalators Expo. The company is now venturing into the building technology segment and has announced the launch of Electrical Building Technology India and ISH India powered by IPA this year.

Following last year’s acquisition of Cerebral Business Research, a conferences company with a portfolio of highly specialised conferences, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India has revealed that its conference portfolio expanded to 30 conferences in the field of telecoms, oil & gas, infrastructure, transport and logistics and other niche sectors both in India and abroad.

Mr Raj Manek, executive director and board member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding, said: “Understanding the pulse of the Indian market, Messe Frankfurt India has continuously challenged itself to deliver meaningful trade platforms and the cooperation and support from the Indian trade bodies and associations have been instrumental in our growth story.”

“Redefining the contours of trade platforms in India, many initiatives and enhancements are planned for Messe Frankfurt’s flagship events in India in the near future.
