Latvia to welcome Made in Baltics trade fair

LATVIA - A Baltic exhibition of manufacturers from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania will be held in Riga in March.

‘Made in Baltics’ will be an industries trade fair exhibition, which the organiser claims is the first time the countries have held a joint event of this kind, is designed to increase industrial exchange between organisations in each of the three countries. Around 95 companies have already committed to participate in the event.

The event will be held in Skonto Hall in Riga, Latvia, from 24 to 27 March. Skonto Hall was the location of the 2003 Latvian Eurovision song contest, and following renovation in 2006 is capable of holding more than 6,500 people.

The event could be a major boon for Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania’s manufacturing industries, improving visibility towards these markets in the rest of Europe and elsewhere.

Estonia is already running an ambassador programme for academics and business people looking to attract international conferences and exhibitions to the country.
